Open House Camp News

YOU’RE INVITED TO OUR OPEN HOUSE SUNDAY, MAY 19 FROM 2 – 5 PM!

Choosing the right summer camp for children can be a difficult decision for parents. To assist parents in making that decision and give them a chance to “kick the tires,” Camp Woodmont, holds an annual open house. Preparing children for an overnight experience, packing and other helpful hints will be discussed during the open house.

If you are unable to attend, you may call and make an appointment to bring your family and friends up anytime – Our Co-Director, Tyran Bennett, lives on the camp property with his family and he would be glad to meet with you personally and give you a complete tour of the camp (call 706-398-0833 to schedule a visit). You may want to combine the trip with a weekend getaway to Chattanooga, TN as there are many fun family-oriented things to do there.

Farm And Wilderness Camp

Farm And Wilderness Camp

Please join us in welcoming F&W’s new Tamarack Farm Camp Director, Amy Bowen.
She brings an array of talents to her new position. She is well suited to be the new TF Director given her background in directing a farming program, working with teenagers and coordinating service-oriented activities in the nearby communities.

Amy brings to this new position her knowledge of Farm & Wilderness as well as her two years of experience as the Indian Brook Camp Director.  She has a master’s degree in Curriculum Design and Instruction from Northeastern University. She has also taught social justice issues to college-age athletes across the country.

She rose to the top of the field of candidates after our Search Committee began reviewing many resumes, applications and candidates in November.

The Indian Brook director’s position will soon be advertised. Please check our Employment Opportunities page shortly for details.
